the different among us. Emmice walked slowly around the schoolyard, watching the chatting friends and the bickering brother and sisters. The day had yet to begin, but Emmice felt as hours has passed and school was still in session. Oh how he hated school. It was a boring and pointless way to waste time. Emmice decided that he was tired of just standing around, and he also felt a little old, because people were staring at him with cold, unforgiving eyes. He pushed and weaved his way through crowds of people until he finally came to where he wanted to be: the tree. Emmice dropped his bag down and leaned his back against it, closing his eyes as he felt the cold bark on his back. Above him, the bell rang.
" Screw it." he muttered, opening his eyes once, and then closing it again. He didn't care to go to class today. One day of skipping never hurt anyone.
He felt the patter of footsteps and figured someone was coming over to talk to him. Well, today wasn't the best time. Their choice. he wondered to himself inside his head.
"Yes?" he answered in a cold tone when the footsteps had stopped.
